Life, Zinnias, a Wedding, and Ducks

Life ...
I think these are baby wrens nestled down in the Bohemian Jew right outside our front door.

These zinnias are so pretty in Amy's back yard.

Congratulations and Best Wishes! Stan and Carla are now Mr. and Mrs.

I hope you don't tire of seeing our ducks. I don't!

Life

Life ...
Paul just happened to be at the right spot when I asked to get a picture of Justin and Rachel, the new bride and groom.

Maybe Quinten can help get the radio controlled plane going.

Home ... sweet home!

We have 4 Pekin and 4 Mallard ducks that we enjoy.

... as a Quilter
I've finally finished a quilt for Josiah Paul.

He was right pleased to be able to take it home.

I'm starting another quilt for "PeaPicker" using the scraps of his daddy's ties. It's taking a little longer as I need to do more piecing and trying to make the best use of the scraps.

Life, Wedding, Rena and Lily Quilt

Recently Rena joined our Possum Town Quilters for a visit. I was so pleased to see her finished “Lily” quilt. She came to our house for a class last winter (here) to learn the technique. I like the way she changed it from a lily to tulips to make it personal and unique.

We were invited out to Levis along with our neighbors, Nathan & Amanda for a fish fry. Amanda wanted to learn how to fry those good catfish.

Levi times the frying time to 5 or 6 minutes depending on the size of the fillet.

We attended the wedding of Josh and Dasie.

Sugar Brix and Earl & Gina’s Wedding

Life …
Quinten brought in a corn stalk and chopped a small section from it to …

After looking into the little scope he said, “not too good!”

Life–This and That

Sam and Sheri
IMG_2312

My sister Coleen and I took a walk down by the river and got a shot back up the river of our home stomping grounds.
IMG_0174

Before our day, a railroad used to cross the river.
IMG_0197

Coleen enjoyed a ride on the swing out over the river up at our old swimming hole.
IMG_0188

On up the river and around the bend we met my cousin Ransford's daughter Reece and her friend Mike out for a pleasurable afternoon.
IMG_0193

Later we took a drive around the country to look for old silos. This one is made of tile similar to …
IMG_2292

… this one we pushed over in Mississippi
IMG_1151

I love the red barn behind this silo with the unique roof between Harrisonburg and Broadway.
IMG_2271

And then we came upon this old spring house south of Bridgewater and had to stop for a photo shoot.
